I'm also a Scout (mostly, I run a little of everything), but I prefer the Repair Tool rather than a Nano Injector. I keep people on their feet instead of getting them back up later.
Usually Swarm/SMG, or Shotgun.
I have a couple of Uplink builds (Free Hugs! And by "hugs" I mean "spawn points")
Surprisingly, I'm getting more use from Uplinks in Ambush than Skirmish, at least so far... |

Dude.... Dude. Seriously. Raise Scout Suit to level 2. Dude. Seriously. Dude. Gets the best of both worlds, so much damn fun ;) I already did that. It lets me have the Nanohives my SL needs as well as some form of medic support. That aspect is a side-function to my playstyle, not the core focus. |

You also have to choose one or the other when you're running a free Scout build (Militia or Dragonfly). |

On the other hand, continue on, becuase my new Shotgun has such a hig bullet spread that it will hit you no matter where you are in my FOV. Jumping Scouts are EASY to hit if you know how to aim.
And strafing isn't much harder, unless the person is doing it WELL. |

Hit detection is MOSTLY fine.
I had a match where it was AWFUL a little while ago.
Shotgun to a Heavy, from behind, while he's standing still and so am I... nothing. Not a scratch. I unloaded a full clip before my last round finally tore his shields apart and scratched the armour. He turned around while I was reloading, and almost got to kill me before a teammate showed up and killed him with an AR from about mid-range. |
